Two quick items this month. . .
1. I ordered a new pair of glasses from a company called Warby Parker. Their company first caught my eye when I saw a blurb about them in a magazine. I ripped out the blurb and looked them up.
“Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point.”
The best part is, is that for every pair of glasses ordered, they give a pair of glasses (for free) to someone in need. I needed new glasses and this was a no-brainer for me. After two different “home try-ons”, I found a pair that suited me!
I was able to “give back” simply by ordering something I already needed! You can check them out at warbyparker.com.
2. Last month, we donated money to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, in support of a good friend. In April, I was able to donate my time at the run/walk to show my support. It was a great day at Heritage Park, and they raised over $23,000! I enjoyed volunteering and hope to walk/run in it next year!
I absolutely cannot believe it is May 1st already!
