Steve and I have been together for 10.5 years, and this will be our 6th state in the same amount of time. This lifestyle poses challenges and keeps us on our toes, but it is exciting and adventurous and a great learning experience for our kids, and us a couple. Everyone keeps asking about the kids and when we will stop moving. I cannot tell you when we will stop moving, but I can tell you the kids are the least of my worries. They are so resilient, and adaptable, and up for the adventure. I know they will be grateful for the life experience when they are older!
Steve and I grew up in the midwest, though we have lived in the south for 10 years. We feel fortunate to be moving back up "north", where we will be closer to family and friends, and will get a taste of the midwest again. I think the most exciting part is that I will be just 3 short hours from my sister and her family. What a blessing! I never thought we would live this close ever again!
Snow. Snow?? Oh well, I will buy some warm boots. I'm not happy about it, but I know two little munchkins who could not be happier about the prospect of playing in the snow. They were practicing their snow angels in their playroom the other day...
We have a lot to be thankful for and I couldn't be more proud of Steve. We are praying that this transition goes smoothly. It will soon be time to pack up our belongings, the cars, the kids, the pets, and start our new adventure. Let the chaos of living in a hotel for several weeks and starting a new life begin! We must be crazy! :)
